On Sunday, November 17th, an educational seminar was conducted at the Philippine Center in Stratford, NJ. The seminar was focused on healthy living with information shared on good habits for the heart and chair yoga. The seminar was co-sponsored by PCSNJ and our friends at UPMASA (University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Society in America). The seminar catered to approximately 70 or so members of both PCSNJ and UPMASA.
The audience was enlightened by two fantastic speakers. Cardiologist Dr. Kenneth Dulnuan, MD started things off by sharing what characteristics one must have to take care of their heart – what one needs to do and not do. His talk was followed up by a lively Q&A conversation amongst the members.
The "heart to heart" talk was followed up by an entertaining chair yoga session led by Instructor Donna Loftus. The instructor led the audience into an entertaining chair yoga session. Fun was had by all as the session was accompanied by lively music to keep everyone engaged and entertained as we all did our yoga.
We would like to thank our two speakers, Dr. Dulnuan, MD and Instructor Donna for coming out and sharing their knowledge with us.
Preceding the speakers, a sumptuous lunch was served to all who came. It was an afternoon well spent of fellowship and learning.
If there are any topics that you would like the PCSNJ educational committee to do sessions on, please reach out to us and we will be happy to look into things further. Feel free to send us a message through our social media (Facebook and Instagram) or through our website.
